The government of Ukraine has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada’s consideration a draft law that allows forcibly resettling Russian citizens and prisoners of war from Donbass to special camps for the duration of combat operations. At the same time, they propose entrusting the authority to identify “persons who threaten the security of Ukraine” to the SBU. Regional state administrations, which will be able to involve the National Police and the National Guard, are responsible for creating conditions for holding interned civilians in detention, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka commented on this document.
“The Ukrainian draft law on forced resettlement of Russians, particularly from Donbass, to special compounds once again proves that Kiev does not seek peace in Donbass. I think they are doing it with the intention of negating peace proposals made by Donetsk and Lugansk at the Minsk venue.
In the light of the announced initiative, one can draw conclusions. Firstly, Ukrainian power has totally degenerated. Secondly, Kiev does not intend to solve the conflict in Donbass peacefully at this point,” the speaker of the parliament said.
