The State Enterprise “Republican Center “Trade House “Medicines of Donbass” purchased 45 oxygen concentrators to help patients with COVID-19 and severe pneumonia, which require the supply of concentrated oxygen flow, the press service of the DPR Ministry of Health reports.
This purchase was carried out in accordance with the Order of Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin on the allocation of funds to implement measures to combat COVID-19.
People with lung diseases, especially pneumonia, often have oxygen in the blood below normal, and if it drops to 88%, the patient may need additional oxygen flow, which oxygen concentrators give.
Oxygen concentrators will be distributed by the DPR Ministry of Health among 19 hospital bases of the Republic based on the number of beds and incoming patients. In execution of the spoken Instruction from Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, 3 oxygen concentrators have been given to Municipal Hospital 3 of Gorlovka, which was announced on November 26, 2020 during the videoconference meeting. The DPR Ministry of Health continues to purchase necessary consumables and medical equipment to help patients with COVID-19 and pneumonia.
