Today, on November 26, the 100th anniversary humanitarian convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry arrived in Donetsk. Residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic are grateful to Russia for help and support that has been provided for six years now since the beginning of the armed conflict in Donbass.
“Electrical equipment, mainly cable and wire products, fittings and power transformers were supplied to the DPR in the period from November 2014 to January 2015 as part of four humanitarian convoys. At that time, this equipment was extremely necessary to repair power facilities of the Republic damaged as a result of attacks by Ukraine. This equipment was used for the restoration of Uglegorsk and Debaltsevo, and it continues to work to this day,” Director of the Department of Electric Power Industry of the DPR Ministry of Coal and Energy Pavel Popovich said.
“For all six years, against the background of hostilities and blockade, the Russian Federation and the Russian people have been giving us invaluable help. From humanitarian convoys, the DPR Ministry of Health received necessary medicines, medical products, vaccines, medical equipment and many other things. On behalf of all residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic, on behalf of the Ministry of Health and on my own behalf, I would like to express my great gratitude to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the help, for the daily hard and painstaking work on giving us everything for living,” acting Minister of Health of the DPR Alexander Oprishchenko said.
“Help, mutual assistance and support are the things that unite us in difficult moments, that make human beings human. Willingness to come to the aid, to take part in someone’s destiny is an invaluable human quality. We will never forget the moment when the brotherly people of the Russian Federation extended a helping hand to us in difficult days. Regular supplies of humanitarian aid to the region have brought stability to the society. We, the residents of the DPR, are grateful to the people who support us,” Director of the Department for Veterans, Physically Challenged and Other Categories of the DPR Ministry of Labor and Social Policy Viktoriya Pikiner noted.
