Valery Skorokhodov gave an official comment on the speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPR at the UN Security Council meeting, the press service of the DPR People’s Council reports.
“The fact that our representatives spoke at the official meeting of the UN Security Council is, firstly, a great diplomatic victory, and secondly, a serious blow to our Kiev opponents. All these years, the Ukrainian side has been pretending that the Republics do not exist in the international legal field. At UN meetings, only the voice of Kiev was usually heard. Even today, Kiev tried in every way to retain the situation. After Natalya Nikonorova made a speech at the Security Council meeting, it became clear that Ukraine’s attempts to shut out the voice of Donbass failed.
In fact, today’s meeting is a great step towards the recognition of the Republics in the international arena. I’m sure that we must not be complacent. As Natalya Nikonorova said, we are ready to conduct a referendum in accordance with all international requirements. And we are confident in its result,” Valery Skorokhodov claimed.
