On December 2, the UN Security Council held a meeting on the topic of “Implementation of the 2015 Minsk Package of Measures on the Settlement in Ukraine: A Year Since the Paris Normandy Summit” in an Arria-Formula mode, the press service of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
Representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics spoke for the first time at a UN venue: Foreign Affairs Minister of the DPR, Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR to the Contact Group on the conflict settlement in Donbass Natalya Nikonorova and LPR Foreign Affairs Minister, Plenipotentiary Representative of the LPR at the Minsk venue Vladislav Deynego.
Representatives of 17 countries took part in the meeting, which was initiated and organized by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to UN: China, Indonesia, Niger, Dominican Republic, Belarus, Morocco, Egypt, India, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vietnam, Syria, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vanuatu, Algeria, Tunisia.

Mikhail Pogrebinsky, a representative of political science of Ukraine, director of the Kiev Center for Political Studies and Conflict Studies, also shared his vision of the prospects for the Minsk negotiation process.
During the event, the representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics answered questions from representatives of Belarus, China and Indonesia.
