During the briefing on August 27 in Donetsk, People’s Militia soldiers Andrei Andriyesh and Sergei Balandin told about the attempt of the Ukrainian security agencies to recruit the Republic’s defenders. DPR Commissioner for Human Rights Darya Morozova voiced her stance on this problem, correspondent of the DPR Official Website reports.
Andrei Andriyesh said that the Ukrainian security agencies tried to influence him through his mother, who lives in the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine, they exerted psychological pressure on her.
“I believe that it is necessary to draw the attention of the international community to these methods of influence on my relatives,” Andrey Andriyesh emphasized.
Sergei Balandin told about a similar situation.
Darya Morozova informed that she had taken measures to address this issue.
“Andrei P. Andriyesh contacted me as Commissioner for Human Rights in the DPR with a request to help restore the rights and freedoms of his mother, who lives in Ukraine. In turn, I issued certain statements to the International Committee of the Red Cross, OSCE and the UN Human Rights Committee and asked to put an end to the violations of the rights and freedoms of Andrei’s mother in the territory of Ukraine. I hope that the international organizations will respond in due time and unlawful actions on the part of the Security Service of Ukraine will be stopped,” Darya Morozova stressed.
