The Donetsk People’s Republic pays special attention to the support of citizens who require assistance from the state. First of all, these are physically challenged citizens, families caring for disabled people and persons who have reached the age of 80. And one of the main measures of the social support for citizens of these categories is the regular payout of social benefits, Minister for Labor and Social Policy of the DPR Larisa Tolstykina says.
The Minister said that the contingent of recipients of state social assistance makes more than 125 thousand each month. And as the economic rates of the Republic improve, the opportunity is sought to raise the payouts.
“Starting on January 1 of last year, the amount of social benefits increased in relation to 13 types of 22 categories of recipients. As the result of this increase, the amount of additional funding was more than 140 million rubles per month. An increase, as it was mentioned earlier during the call-in show with the Head of our state, has been implemented this year as well. It will be the sixth increase since May 2015, when the regular payout of social benefits began in the Republic,” Tolstykina noted.
So, according to the Head of the Republic’s Decree 463 of December 25, 2020, the amount of certain types of social benefits increases beginning on January 1 and July 1, 2021. The increase concerns 13 out of 14 types of social benefits for 29 categories of recipients. Expenses on benefits this year is going to increase by 42% compared to last year and will make over 2.4 billion rubles additionally.
The Minister stressed that the payouts had been fully financed this month based on the new raised amounts. The DPR Central Republic Bank has credited funds to the card accounts of recipients, and the Pochta Donbass State Enterprise continues transferring social benefits.
