The new OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde is currently on a visit to Kiev. DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova expressed her hope for an objective, neutral and unbiased approach on the part of the new chairperson of the monitoring mission
“Already during the first meeting with the President of Ukraine, Ms. Linde was told extremely misleading information, in particular that Ukraine allegedly observes the ceasefire, allegedly carries out all the instructions from the Normandy Four summit in Paris and other information that does not correspond to reality.
In connection with the importance of providing objective and complete information about the events in Donbass and the Minsk process, we have sent a letter to Ms. Linde, inviting her to visit the Donetsk People’s Republic and personally get acquainted with the situation, including at the line of contact, where it is particularly noticeable how Ukraine allegedly observes the ceasefire.
We trust that the new OSCE Chairperson-in-Office will accept our invitation and will prevent monopolistic provision of information on the part of Ukraine about the situation in Donbass. We also hope that Ms. Linde will be guided in her activities primarily by such fundamental principles of this organization as objectivity, neutrality and readiness to cooperate with both parties to the conflict on a parity and unbiased basis,” Natalya Nikonorova said.
