Over the past 24 hours, the armed forces of Ukraine violated the Complex of Additional Ceasefire Compliance Measures 9 times, of which 4 provocations with the use of weaponry, official representative of the DPR PMD Pavel Fomenko announced at the briefing on January 28.
- Thus, at the Gorlovka front, in violation of the second clause of the additional measures, 5 AGS grenades were fired at the area of Zaitsevo (south) from positions of the 137th separate marine battalion of the 35th separate marine brigade in the area of Zaitsevo (north).
- At the Donetsk front, from positions of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 72nd brigade near Avdeyevka, the area of Yakovlevka was attacked by small arms.
- At the Mariupol front, from positions of the 36th brigade’s marine battalion near Vodyanoye, militants fired 6 grenades with underbarrel grenade launchers at the Leninskoye area, and from positions of the 2nd motorized infantry battalion of the 53rd brigade near Bogdanovka, 100 BMP-2 rounds, 12 RPG and AGS grenades were fired at the Petrovskoye area, also small arms were used.
Our observers registered 5 facts of engineer work on retrofitting positions of the 53rd brigade in the area of Bogdanovka in violation of the first clause of the additional measures.
“We would like to draw attention to the lack of control on the part of the AFU command and the lack of OSCE response, which has untied the hands of militants from the 53rd brigade, who previously only appeared at the former positions in the disengagement area near Bogdanovka, and now began to openly upgrade them, they concentrated combat equipment and open fire at populated localities of the Republic,” Pavel Fomenko stressed.
Our reconnaissance detected the deployment of 25 units of weaponry and military equipment near residential buildings and municipal facilities on the territory under Ukrainian control.
The Ukrainian side continues to obstruct the work of international observers. Thus, in order to prevent t OSCE SMM drones from detecting prohibited weapons in the area of responsibility of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade, a flying squad of the 306th separate EW battalion was used to jam the flight control and navigation channels of the OSCE Mission’s UAV using a Bukovel-AD station in the Beriozovoye area.
Since the beginning of the current 24-hour period, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out two provocations with the use of 120 mm mortars.
At the Mariupol front, from positions of a marine battalion of the 36th brigade near Vodyanoye, fifteen 120mm mortar shells were fired in the direction of Zaichenko and from positions near Talakovka, the enemy opened fire with the use of SPGs at the Kominternovo area, firing five grenades at the village.
Information on civilian casualties and damage to civil infrastructure is being clarified.
The facts of violations were promptly reported to representatives of the Ukrainian side to the JCCC in order to exclude the falsification of data on ceasefire violations by Ukrainian militants and to take action against the perpetrators.
