Today, on January 28, the Russian Donbass Integration Forum dedicated to the development and practical application of the doctrine of the same name which will determine the future of the region began its work in Donetsk. According to a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the forum brought together about 400 participants from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Russian Federation. These are public and political figures, representatives of local and legislative authorities, scientists, military, and young people. Also, the event is being attended by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, Russian State Duma deputies Andrei Kozenko and Kazbek Taisaev, and Russia Today international news agency’s chief editor Margarita Simonyan.
“Dear friends,
The Donetsk People’s Republic is approaching the seven-year milestone of its existence. Its very creation in the spring of 2014, all subsequent years of struggle, hopes and aspirations were invariably accompanied by the question of establishment of our identity. The answer to this question was the creation of the Republic, its heroic defense on the fronts and the daily hard work of our countrymen. Throughout more than six years of war and economic and social blockades we have always had with us the brotherhood and heartfelt support of our kindred Russian people, native Russian language, native culture and spirituality. During these years, our desire to declare once and for all, firmly and irrevocably to the world our choice, our identity, as part of the Russian world, Big Russia, has been strengthened and continues to grow.
The aim of the doctrine is to express in a document our inner feelings, the impulse that rallied us when we rebelled against injustice and duplicity, against persecution of everything Russian, to return to our historical roots and revive the glory of Donbass!
The Russian Donbass Doctrine is the fruit of the work of many authors, thinkers, patriots of our Donetsk homeland. It is intended to become a manifesto of our choice, introduced to the entire world,” Denis Pushilin said in his welcoming speech.
“Today we are facing a very important task of overcoming the existing injustice, protecting the cultural and historical heritage, social and legal rights of our citizens,” Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik noted.
“Such a document as the Russian Donbass Doctrine is needed right now, when the republics have fully realized their conscious, historically predetermined civilizational path,” Andrei Kozenko stressed.
In his turn Kazbek Taisaev greeted everyone on behalf of State Duma deputies and said that this forum is of great importance for the whole Russian world.
The participants in the forum will discuss the problems and ways of implementation of the Russian Donbass Doctrine in different spheres of life, including education, science, culture, youth and information policy, public and political activity.
Another important issue for discussion will be the measures of support for Russian and Russian-speaking citizens in the republics of the former Soviet Union.
