In the case of combat provocations by the Ukrainian armed formations, the DPR People’s Militia units have orders to suppress the enemy’s firing points, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin stated during a press conference dedicated to the final review of the Unity of Russians: Protection of Rights and Freedoms forum’s outcomes.
«In the places where the equipment is not deployed in residential areas – the People’s Militia units have already been given corresponding orders. Firing points are and will be reduced. Of course, we will bend every effort to ensure that the situation does not escalate into full-scale hostilities. But this depends not just on ourselves. This is what my statement on the need for a dialogue, and the one by Leonid Ivanovich Pasechnik, came connected with. Or Kiev’s withdrawal from the Minsk agreements. Then we will have a free hand to work towards our objectives, but in other ways,» Denis Pushilin said.
