On October 20, during the videoconference meeting with health workers of the Republic, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin heard our information from Emil Fistal, Director of Gusak Institute of Urgent and Reconstructive Surgery, about the availability of capacities in this medical institution for the struggle against the coronavirus, a correspondent of the DPR official site reports.
“Given the current situation, a significant increase in the number of patients with COVID-19, the intensive care unit has been reoriented to provide aid to surgical patients, patients with vascular pathology. We have a burns center with such a department. We are coping with our task. We do not have problems with oxygen or equipment. We are ready to continue our work,” Professor Emil Fistal, Director of Gusak Institute of Urgent and Reconstructive Surgery of Donetsk, noted.
