Acting Health Minister Alexander Oprishchenko decided to re-profile one of the buildings of the Donetsk Regional In-Patient Medical Association to treat patients with COVID-19. The expediency of such a decision was discussed during the meeting of the Head of the DPR with health workers of the Republic.
“First of all, the 14th site, which is just planned for the re-profiling, has 200 beds, which will accommodate more patients. Secondly, there are 90 more beds in the wards, plus the possibility of deployment of operating rooms, i.e. up to 100 oxygen beds, which we need very much.
As for the Thoracic Department, it will be transferred to the 4th site, so the patients will not be affected. In other words, the re-profiling of the 14th site will not reduce our ability to provide specialty care to the population,” Oprishchenko said.
