Statements by the Ukrainian side about the unilateral opening of all checkpoints of entry and exit that are located on the border with the Donetsk People’s Republic are a prearranged and deliberate false flag plot, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk People’s Republic Darya Morozova said.
“The closure of borders with Ukraine is an indispensable measure that we decided to go ahead with to prevent the mass spread of the coronavirus infection in our territory. Back in the spring, Ukraine showed its inability to fight COVID-19, demonstrating a stable growth of the incidence rate every day. Today the situation there has become even worse: red zones are expanding, abysmal lows are reported daily, the number of fatal cases is growing. None of this allows us to remove the restrictions on the work of checkpoints, since that would put the health and lives of our citizens at risk. The Ukrainian side is very well aware of the position of the Republic, which our negotiators constantly defend at the Minsk venue.
False flag plots that Ukraine regularly throws in are aimed at accusing us of disrupting the agreements again to shift the blame for their actions to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics,” the Ombudsperson said.
Darya Morozova also noted that Zelensky really needs another meeting in the Normandy format, which he openly announced during his telephone conversation with Chancellor of Germany Merkel. He is aware that he himself is the cause of disruption of these meetings, so he decided to act differently, using the same dirty and impure methods, at that.
“I call on the residents who want to cross the line of delimitation. Do not put your lives in danger! We already witnessed the grave consequences of Ukrainian false flag attacks at the border. Yelenovka is the only working checkpoint today. The Donetsk People’s Republic remains unchanged in its position — the lives and health of our citizens will always be priority!” Darya Morozova said.
