Ukraine has been reluctant to implement the Minsk agreements from the very beginning and is now deliberately exacerbating the situation through provocations. The Donetsk People’s Republic is ready for any situation that may develop, DPR Head Denis Pushilin stated during his wide-ranging interview with republican and international journalists in Donetsk on November 11.
«These issues will remain on our agenda for a long time to come. This is not news to anyone that Ukraine was not ready to implement the Minsk agreements, and is still failing to do that. But I would say that the situation is getting more complex.
In addition to the military escalation against our military, Ukraine sets provocations that constitute dangerous precedents, to which the guarantor countries and the OSCE Mission should have responded more proactively. These include the kidnapping of the JCCC monitor from Lugansk People’s Republic, attempts to bomb an oil storage depot in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, and the whole situation in Staromarievka,» he said.
Denis Pushilin believes that the worst thing about all this is Ukraine’s conducting acts of terror against the residents of the People’s Republics.
«These are the objectives and methods set by outright terrorists. Things are obvious to us. I refer to the incumbent authorities of Ukraine. They are acting exactly that way,» the DPR Head emphasized.
Denis Pushilin said that the Republic is closely monitoring the situation.
«All the actions that Kiev takes, especially in the frontline areas, indicate that we need to be ready for any eventuality. We are well aware of the reasons why we conduct exercises with all the agencies,» he said.
