Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin presented the keys of new firefighting and rescue vehicles and a resuscitation car to officers of the State Fire and Rescue Units of Donetsk and Makeyevka, as well as the Republic Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reported today, on November 11.
“Dear rescuers, every time you respond to an emergency call means that the danger is eliminated and people are saved. You are first to help when trouble has come. Your training, quickness, reflexes, true and competent actions are vital where the situation is on edge. This year alone, rescuers of the Republic have carried out more than 13 thousand drives, saved the lives of more than 800 people, including 59 children. Courage, mutual help, coolness are extremely important in your profession and it is the duty of the state to provide rescuers with everything they need for the job.
We continue to expand and upgrade the facilities and resources of the DPR EMERCOM. This sphere is among the primary state tasks. Today, fire and rescue teams of Donetsk and Makeyevka are getting the necessary equipment, and the Republic Rescue Center is getting the keys of an ambulance. I am confident that this will be a serious help in eliminating threats and helping victims. I wish you success in your hard but noble service,” Denis Pushilin addressed the rescuers.
In his turn, the Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, Lieutenant General of the Civil Protection Service Alexei Kostrubitsky thanked the Head of State for his assistance in providing the facilities and resources of EMERCOM units.
“Timely arrival to the scene and accurate execution of the tasks by rescuers and, most importantly, the saving of human lives, depend on the new equipment. Today, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is provided with it in the best way thanks to the repeated support from our state. I am confident that the new equipment, which we received today, will allow responding to fires and emergencies more efficiently,” Alexei Kostrubitsky noted.
In total, the rescuers received eight new KamAZ-based fire and rescue tank trucks AC-3,5-50 and a resuscitation vehicle designed for emergency and primary medical care and evacuation of victims of any severity level.
