Today, on November 11, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin commented on Kiev’s unilateral opening of checkpoints in Donbass.
“We are seeing provocative actions on the part of Ukraine. One of the latest provocations is the alleged opening of all checkpoints at the line of contact, which does not fit current realities and epidemiological situation in Ukraine. “Record highs” happen there almost daily, the “red zone” now covers Ugledar, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and other Ukraine-controlled towns in the Donetsk region, and the lack of space in hospitals is not conducive to the opening of checkpoints at the line of contact.
We are seeing that all neighboring countries have fenced themselves off from Ukraine because of the epidemiological situation. Kiev itself closed checkpoints at times when the epidemiological situation was much better than it is now.
Such steps are a cynical hype by Zelensky. This issue was not coordinated within the Contact Group, so such unilateral steps can lead to irreparable consequences.
Unfortunately, we see that Zelensky’s so ill-conceived and cynical policy is even worse than that under Poroshenko,” Denis Pushilin stressed.
