Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky claimed that his was ready to leave his office if he failed to end the civil war in Donbass, thus he conceded to his unwillingness to end the conflict. He should have resigned after something like that, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin stated.
“First, Vladimir Zelensky could have ended the war long ago, if wished, during his time as president. So, there have never been real intentions — Ukraine is not meeting the terms of the truce.
Secondly, Zelensky publicly demonstrates that the DPR and the LPR are not parties to the conflict, although it is us who Ukraine has to negotiate with. He assures that actors in the Minsk process are Ukraine and Russia with the OSCE mediation. What is there to talk about?!” Denis Pushilin explained.
The Head of the DPR believes that when they deliberately alter the notions, which distorts the whole essence of the Minsk Agreements, it is hardly possible to expect any progress in the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass.
“In fact, this is Zelensky’s confession, the confirmation of his unwillingness to end the war. In such circumstances, his recusal may be the best option for anyone,” Denis Pushilin concluded.
