For the past 24 hours, the armed forces of Ukraine carried out one combat provocation from positions of the 501st battalion of the 36th brigade in the direction of our positions in the area of Sakhanka with the use of small arms. The shots were unaimed and did not threaten the lives of our soldiers and civilians, spokesman for the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Colonel Eduard Basurin stated during the briefing on August 14.
In addition, our lookouts spotted the flight of a Mavic Pro UAV of the 36th brigade from the direction of Gnutovo, which was monitoring camouflage activities at positions of the 501st battalion and attempted to conduct reconnaissance activities in the Kominternovo area.
The armed forces of Ukraine also regularly violate the first paragraph of the additional measures for the enhancement and control of the effective ceasefire, namely the ban on offensive and reconnaissance-sabotage activities, which, according to the agreements, are referred to as attempts to change the original position of the troops and additional position hardening.
Our lookouts registered engineering works that were carried out by the 2nd battalion of the 24th brigade in the Zaytsevo area (north) and we also registered one explosion.
Defenders of the Republic did not give in to this provocation, did not open fire and were watching the enemy, strictly observing the ceasefire.
