Plenipotentiary representatives of the Donetsk People’s Republic were able to express their position at the venue of the UN Security Council in the passing year, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin claimed during the call-in show with citizens of the Republic on December 15, answering a question from Bogdan, a teenager born already during the war in Donbass.
“This is one of the most frequent questions, especially on the eve of the New Year. Not only children want peace, but also adults. Our negotiators are doing everything possible and impossible at the Minsk venue to bring the long-awaited peace closer, to resolve the conflict peacefully. But Ukraine is already one step away from rejecting the Minsk Agreements. Our Minister of Foreign Affairs mentioned this during the speech at the UN Security Council meeting. Very important aspects were voiced there,” the Head of the Republic said.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPR and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic to the Minsk talks Natalya Nikonorova spoke about the details and problems of the negotiation process, the failure to implement the Minsk Agreements and the delaying of the process by the Ukrainian side.
“They have not taken any steps for the coming of peace, for a constructive dialogue during this period,” she said.
Denis Pushilin especially highlighted the help of the Russian Federation in the Minsk negotiation process.
“Our Russian brothers do not leave us in difficult situations at any stage, which allows us to move forward,” he said.
