Legal clearance has not yet been carried out in relation to the 50 persons transferred by the Ukrainian side within the previous exchanges, DPR Foreign Affairs Minister Natalia Nikonorova stated.
“The “all for all” formula, which is supposed to underpin the exchange process, is the principle contained in the Minsk agreements, therefore it is impossible to erase the meaning and terminology of the peace agreements and demand that the swap alone must be implemented under these agreements.
50 out of 51 persons transferred by the Ukrainian side within the previous exchanges are still deprived of their rights and freedoms, since the Kiev officials have so far failed to complete all the legal procedures necessary to restore these rights according to the obligations undertaken,” the statement says.
In addition, Natalia Nikonorova said that the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs had sent a draft roadmap on the restoration of social and economic ties more than two months ago. However, according to the DPR Foreign Minister, the Ukrainian party has taken no real action.
