On Tuesday, February 2, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin honored the memory of Hero of the DPR and commander of the Sparta Battalion Arsen Pavlov (nom-de-guerre Motorola) and laid flowers at the place of his burial at the Donetsk Sea Cemetery in the capital, the press service of the Administration of the Head of the DPR reports.
The leader of the country noted that the legendary brigade commander could have turned 38 years old today.
“Arsen managed to do a lot to lead his fighters to the most dangerous areas of fighting with the enemy, fearlessly command the Sparta Battalion, gain the title of Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic and become a legend in his lifetime! The enemy could not defeat him on the battlefield, but was so afraid that they took his life through a dastardly terrorist attack.
Respect and gratitude to Motorola, the memory of his courage and bravery, with which he defended the people of Donbass, will forever remain in our hearts, and his exploits are written in the history of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” Denis Pushilin stressed.
In addition, the Head of State paid tribute to defenders of the Donetsk People’s Republic, in particular, he laid flowers at the graves of Mikhail Tolstykh (nom-de-guerre Givi), Vyacheslav Dotsenko and other fighters, who are resting on the Alley of Heroes, which is located in this cemetery.
Recall that Hero of the DPR Arsen Pavlov died on October 16, 2016 as the result of a terrorist attack. The combat path of the legendary commander began in Slavyansk, then he took part in the battles for the liberation of Debaltsevo, Donetsk Airport, Ilovaysk.
