On October 22nd, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin held a videoconference meeting with agricultural producers to discuss both conditions for the development of agriculture and some problematic issues of the industry.
“A good harvest of grains, positive trends of development of poultry farming, a 9% increase in production volume in our food industry are the result of joint efforts and close cooperation between the state and business this year. Now we need to boost our vegetable and livestock farming.
According to agricultural producers, deteriorating equipment is one of the problems, but there is already a way out: the lease program is on the go. There were also questions about the lack of specialists. Youth often ask me what specialty to choose. I declare responsibly: we will create conditions to make agrarian professions sought-after,” Pushilin noted.
During the meeting, the Head of the Republic instructed the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Artyom Kramarenko to study support programs for agricultural producers in the Russian Federation for possible implementation in our conditions.
“We must improve the competitiveness of our agricultural enterprises to ensure the food security in the state and availability of quality products at affordable prices for our citizens,” the Head of State added.
