The official Kiev not only continues to ignore calls for peace, but also cynically shells the territory of the Republic using terrorist methods. Today a DPR soldier was killed by a projectile dropped from a UAV. These are forbidden methods of warfare in the entire civilized world. We express our deep condolences to the family of the deceased.
It is noteworthy that the AFU are purposefully and deliberately shelling the areas where repair and reconstruction work is being carried out or planned:
— in the south of the Republic: in the area of Leninskoye — Vodyanoye, where work to restore power supply is underway;
— in the Donetsk direction: in the area of Staromikhailovka — Krasnogorovka, not far from which it was difficult to reach an agreement to begin repair and restoration activities on the branch of the gas pipeline Maryinka — Krasnogorovka;
— in the Gorlovka direction: in the vicinity of the village of Mine 6/7, where the water line from both sides was recently restored;
— in the area of Bogdanovka, where measures for inspection and repair of power lines are being agreed upon, ceasefire violations have been registered for the second day.
Anticipating the traditional public barrage of accusations from the Ukrainian side regarding the alleged disruption of repair work, we officially declare that DPR military units did not return fire when the armed forces of Ukraine shelled Staromikhailovka. Also, during the Contact Group meeting, our Plenipotentiary Representative openly warned that we would be forced to withdraw security guarantees if the AFU continued to violate the ceasefire in the area.
Nevertheless, today the AFU used a banned UAV for military purposes, which resulted in the death of a defender of the Republic. We regard such actions by the Ukrainian side as a deliberate provocation and a breach of the security guarantees it provided earlier.
Our decision to withdraw the security guarantees in this area was formally communicated by the DPR Plenipotentiary Representative to the Contact Group’s Coordinator and the leadership of the OSCE SMM. The head of the delegation also took the initiative to convene an extraordinary meeting of the working group on security issues in the videoconference mode on the next consolidated date of the coming working week in order to resolve this situation as quickly as possible.
We call on the Ukrainian side to stop manipulating security issues, sit down at the negotiating table and start working on the document on the Measures to Control and Enhance the Ceasefire Regime. The favorite Ukrainian trick of saying one thing and doing another does not work in this direction. The withdrawal of the security guarantees is our forced response to such provocations. We very much hope that they will stop and the ceasefire will be maintained.
This was reported by the DPR Representative Office to the JCCC and in the negotiation process.
