Over the past day, the enemy once violated the Complex of Additional Measures, official representative of the DPR PMD Colonel Eduard Basurin said during a briefing on December 25.
- At the Donetsk front, our observers registered a violation of Clause 1 of the Additional Measures by militants of the 37th motorized infantry battalion of the 56th brigade of the AFU, who were conducting fortification work to retrofit positions in the Opytnoye area, during which 14 explosions thundered.
Since the beginning of the current 24-hour period, the enemy violated the Complex of Additional Measures to Strengthen and Control the CeaseFire Regime three times, two of which are firing provocations.
- At the Mariupol front, militants of the battalion of the 36th AFU brigade from positions in the Vodyanoye area, opened fire three times with 120mm mortars and anti-tank grenade launchers in the direction of Kominternovo, Leninskoye and Novaya Tavriya, firing 8 shells and 13 grenades in the direction of the populated localities.
“In addition, our observers registered a violation of Clause 1 of the Additional Measures by militants of the 53rd AFU brigade, who were conducting fortification work to re-equip positions in the Starognatovka area, during which an explosion occurred.
Despite the peaceful initiatives of the Republic to resolve the conflict, and the fact that units of the People’s Militia strictly observe the ceasefire and fulfil the Complex of Additional Measures, the armed forces of Ukraine are seeking to destabilize the situation and create a precedent for withdrawing from the agreements on the peaceful settlement of the conflict,” Eduard Basurin said.
