“The pandemic makes serious changes in the education schedule for our children. In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, we extended the school holidays for one more week.
But beginning on November 2, also according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, we are resuming the educational process in secondary schools. Naturally, special attention will be paid to safety measures in order to protect all those who study and those who teach from COVID-19,” he said.
According to the Minister, the relevant order of the Ministry has already been sent to all secondary education establishments, where recommendations on how to organize a safe educational process are given.
“We will strictly monitor its implementation by conducting on-site inspections. And not only our Ministry, but also representatives of all relevant departments and services. The headmasters of educational establishments are directly responsible for compliance with all safety measures,” Mikhail Kushakov emphasized.
The recommendations refer to observance of hygiene rules at school, social distance, rules of conduct in class and during breaks, including prevention of crowds among children and teachers, prevention of unauthorized access to school premises, etc.
The DPR Minister of Education and Science drew the attention of parents of schoolchildren that they are also responsible for ensuring that their child goes to school healthy. For this purpose, parents must take the temperature in advance and check the condition of their children. If they turn out to be sick, they have to stay at home and a doctor must be called.
“We must do everything so that our children and teachers stay healthy. For that, in such a situation, we must act decisively and not deviate from the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the State Epidemiological Service,” Mikhail Kushakov stated.
