The round table is attended by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Andrei Kozenko and Kazbek Taisaev, editor in chief of the international news agency Rossiya Segodnya Margarita Simonyan, public and political figures, scientists and young people.
“We have gathered to discuss exactly the practical implementation of the Russian Donbass Doctrine, the adoption of which will serve to strengthen the statehood of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and this is an overdue need. Seven years is enough time to study and scientifically formulate a cultural and historical system of the prevailing views of Russians living in the territory of the former Soviet Union republics.
The doctrine will become the basis for socially significant decisions, and will find practical application in all spheres of activity. First and foremost, it will concern the fields of education, science, culture, youth policy, and lawmaking.
No less important is this discussion about the practical application of the Russian Donbass Doctrine. I ask all those gathered to put forward their opinions, thoughts, proposals which will help us to achieve the set goals, possible measures to support our compatriots, to solve the problems we face at different stages of the implementation of our plans,” Denis Pushilin said.

Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic Leonid Pasechnik welcomed the participants in the round table.
“Today, the response to many years of systematic destruction of the Russian language and culture and historical memory was the adoption of the Russian Donbass Doctrine, in which we focused on the most important issues concerning every resident of Donbass. In this connection the need arose to develop comprehensive measures for the implementation of the main provisions of the doctrine together with the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Russian Federation,” he stressed.
Another important issue for discussion were measures to support Russians and Russian-speaking citizens in the republics of the former Soviet Union.
