Since October 26, the enemy has attacked the territory of our Republic five times with 82mm mortars and AGSs, official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Colonel Eduard Basurin informed at the briefing on October 30.
“This morning, our observers at forward positions near Naberezhnoye found an enemy UAV that was heading from the Ukrainian side with an underslung explosive item. The drone was destroyed by an air defense crew, but a soldier of the People’s Militia was killed by the dropped explosive device.
The striking elements found at the scene where the device exploded and the drone itself was shot down show that the main purpose of Ukrainian militants was to inflict maximum damage on civilians in Naberezhnoye,” Eduard Basurin reported.
Also today, a civilian born 1996 was blown up by an explosive device planted by Ukrainian militants on the bank of a pond on the western outskirts of Grigorovka. He suffered a landmine explosion and is currently getting medical treatment at Telmanovo Hospital.
“It is important to note that this area was demined by our specialists. The drew up a report on the absence of explosive devises. However, knowing Ukrainian militants’ methods of terror of the population of Donbass, as well as their repeated acts of sabotage by planting explosive devices on the routes of civilian traffic, we put up warning signs urging civilians to comply with the mine safety requirements. Unfortunately, the victim did not comply with them, which led to the tragedy,” Eduard Basurin said.
During the examination of the place of mortar attack launched by militants from the 53rd brigade on the Naberezhnoye area on October 28, our sappers found remains of anti-tank guided missiles.
