The enemy twice violated the current ceasefire over the past day, official representative of the DPR PMD Pavel Fomenko reported at the briefing in Donetsk on October 3.
- At the Mariupol front, militants from the 53rd brigade opened fire with an automatic grenade launcher at the Novolaspa area.
- At the Gorlovka front, two grenades were fired at Dolomitnoye from positions of the 2nd battalion of the 24th separate mechanized brigade located in the Novoluganskoye area.
Given the fact that the fire was indirect and did not endanger the lives and health of the residents of the Republic, our defenders did not open return fire. Ukrainian representatives to the JCCC were promptly notified of these facts in order to take action against the violators.
In violation of Clause 1 of the current truce, the enemy continues to retrofit its positions. So, engineer work was being carried out at positions in the responsibility zone of the 2nd battalion of the 54th brigade in the Avdeyevka area. It should be noted that in order not to allow the OSCE to accuse them of violating the Additional Measures for complying with the ceasefire regime, the battalion command involved civilians who were allegedly engaged in agricultural work. The active involvement of civilians in refitting their positions was introduced by the commanders of the forces also to minimize cases when their personnel get blown up in areas not surveyed by sappers, which is a violation of the Geneva Convention On the Protection of Civilian Population.
