In connection with the agreements reached at the meeting of the Contact Group on the joint inspection of Ukrainian positions, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin made an official statement.
“We have finally persuaded the Ukrainian side to carry out an inspection jointly and I decided to revoke the order on elimination of illegal fortifications of Ukrainian armed forces near Shumy.
In the event that the outcome of the joint inspection proves that the Ukrainian side has violated the Additional Measures, advanced its positions near Shumy and refused to remove them, we will eliminate those positions ourselves in accordance with clause (e) of the Ceasefire Enhancement Measures.
I emphasize once again that our priority is to fulfil the agreements reached at the Minsk venue unambiguously and strictly. Nevertheless, representatives of Ukraine have to understand clearly that we are carefully monitoring the situation with the implementation of these agreements and will not turn a blind eye to the gross violations by the Ukrainian side,” Denis Pushilin stressed.
