The enemy has violated the Additional Measures for the Enhancement and Control of the Effective Indefinite Ceasefire Regime 103 times since its entry-into-force. Spokesman for the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Colonel Eduard Basurin told more about it during the briefing in Donetsk on September 4.
“The armed forces of Ukraine committed 24 acts of warmongering with weapons, thus violating the second clause of the Additional Measures for the Enhancement and Control of the Effective Indefinite Ceasefire Regime, namely the ban on firing, including with sniper rifles. The enemy fire was indirect, thus posed no threat to our defenders or residents of the Republic.
Units from the 24, 53 separate mechanized brigades, 35, 36 separate marine brigades and 79 separate airborne assault brigade used UAVs 22 times, which is a gross violation of the first clause of the Additional Measures for the Enhancement and Control of the Effective Indefinite Ceasefire Regime, namely, the ban on the use of any aircraft,” Eduard Basurin told.
The colonel also added that there were 57 cases when units of the 24, 53 separate mechanized brigades, 35 and 36 separate marine brigades, 79 separate airborne assault brigade and 56 separate motorized infantry brigade carried out engineering work to upgrade their positions, which is a violation of the Additional Measures, namely, the ban on attempts to change the original positioning of the troops and additional position hardening.
“These violations by Ukraine are documented by OSCE SMM monitors in reports of July 29 to September 4, 2020. In total, they reported that the AFU had built five firing-points and 26 trenches with a total length of over 3 kilometers. Thus, the Ukrainian command takes advantage of the ceasefire regime to improve its positioning,” Eduard Basurin emphasized.
